🔋 Battery Charging Hits All-Time High
Australia’s big batteries set a new record of 1,746 MW charging at 12:45 PM, easily beating last month’s 1,526 MW. That’s double the rate from the start of 2025, showing just how fast storage is expanding.

🌞 Sunny South Powers the Surge
Victoria and South Australia led the way, with solar meeting huge chunks of demand. Victoria batteries absorbed 708 MW, thanks to new projects at Latrobe Valley, Koorangie, and Rangebank.
☀️ SA Runs on Pure Sun
South Australia hit another milestone with solar providing over 90% of midday power. Its new Blyth battery joined the action, keeping the grid balanced while soaking up excess supply.
🌐 Renewables Beyond 100%
For eight straight days, renewables supplied more than total state demand in SA. Surplus power either charged batteries or flowed to other states via upgraded transmission links.
🌬️ Wind Record in Queensland
Despite cloudy skies, Queensland set a wind output record of 1,616 MW at 9:30 PM, powered mainly by the giant MacIntyre wind farm now pushing above 400 MW during commissioning.
