SA Power Networks has officially opened a new state-of-the-art depot in Seaford, designed to enhance network reliability as the region continues to expand.


📍 Size: 25,000m² (replacing the 6,000m² Morphett Vale depot)

⚡ Purpose: Support rapid response to network events, critical projects, and maintenance

With major developments planned—including 1,700 homes in Sellicks Beach, 600 in Noarlunga, and 3,600 at the old Port Stanvac refinery site—the upgraded depot is essential to keeping up with growing energy needs.

🌱 Eco-Friendly Design:

✅ 98kW solar panels to offset energy use

✅ 75,000L stormwater storage tank

✅ Retention basin for filtering surface runoff


🏗 Expanded Capacity:

✅ 2000m² logistics warehouse

✅ 10 undercover work platform bays

✅ 225m² store and expanded meeting spaces


👷‍♂️ Enhanced Crew Facilities:

✅ Indoor & outdoor eating areas and kitchen

✅ Improved safety with CCTV & electric fencing


🚗 Sustainable Transport:

✅ EV charging stations (expandable from 2 to 16)
