Australia’s biggest battery is proving just how powerful it is.The Waratah Super Battery, owned by Akaysha Energy, has smashed another output record during its testing phase – hitting 530 MW injected into the grid.

⚡ Waratah Super Battery Breaks Output Record Again

🔋 Australia’s Most Powerful Machine

Once fully complete, Waratah will deliver:

  • 850 MW power capacity

  • 1,680 MWh storage

That makes it the largest and most powerful battery ever connected to the Australian grid.Even though Western Australia’s upcoming Collie Battery (560 MW, 2240 MWh) will store more, Waratah will still hold the crown for pure power output.

🛡️ A Shock Absorber for the Grid

Waratah isn’t just about storing clean energy. Its main job is to act like a giant shock absorber – officially called a System Integrity Protection Scheme (SIPS).

This means it can:

  • Protect the grid during outages or surges.

  • Let key transmission lines carry more electricity into Sydney, Newcastle, and Wollongong.

  • Keep the system stable when wind, solar, and hydro need to adjust output.

🌏 Why This Matters for Australia

As we add more wind and solar, moving electricity across the country becomes tricky and expensive.Big batteries like Waratah are showing that instead of just building new power lines, we can use smarter, faster, and cheaper solutions to keep the lights on.

💡 What It Means for You

While projects like Waratah shape the national grid, households and businesses can also take charge of their energy future.

That’s where EServices4U comes in.We help Australians:

  • Install solar + home batteries.

  • Cut electricity bills.

  • Get backup power when the grid is down.
