ACT Government's Home Energy Support Scheme Boosts Electrification and Savings

The ACT Government's Home Energy Support Scheme has significantly improved thermal comfort and reduced energy costs for lower-income tenants and homeowners. Launched in March 2022, the program provides rebates and support to help public and community housing, as well as low-income homeowners, transition to energy-efficient, all-electric homes.

Over 1,500 public housing and 172 community housing properties have received insulation and electrification upgrades. The program has helped families save up to $1,000 per year on energy bills, with even greater savings for those who upgraded insulation.
