ARENA Relaunches $46M Community Battery Program

The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) has reopened applications for Round Two of its Community Batteries Funding Program, offering $46 million to support the deployment of community batteries across Australia.

To qualify for funding, projects must:

✔ Deploy community batteries ranging from 50kW to 5MW

✔ Improve grid integration of solar and distributed energy resources

✔ Enhance industry capacity and optimize renewable energy usage

💰 Total Program Funding: $171M (targeting 342 community batteries nationwide)
