The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) has reopened applications for Round Two of its Community Batteries Funding Program, offering $46 million to support the deployment of community batteries across Australia.

Program Goals

🔋 Reduce household energy costs

🌱 Lower carbon emissions by storing excess solar power

⚡ Enhance grid stability & reliability

Who Can Apply?

To qualify for funding, projects must:

✔ Deploy community batteries ranging from 50kW to 5MW

✔ Improve grid integration of solar and distributed energy resources

✔ Enhance industry capacity and optimize renewable energy usage
