Energy Relief for Households
Residents in Dapto and Warrawong are set to save up to $400 annually on their energy bills as Endeavour Energy activates 13 new community batteries. These batteries, funded by the Federal Government's Community Batteries for Household Solar program, aim to make energy savings accessible to all — whether homeowners or renters, with or without solar.

Boosting Reliability and Reducing Costs
By storing excess rooftop solar during the day and redistributing it at night, these community batteries help reduce energy costs and enhance grid reliability. They also eliminate the need for costly network upgrades. In total, 600 households across both towns stand to benefit from this initiative.
A Commitment to a Greener Future
Federal Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Chris Bowen, emphasized the government's dedication to easing energy costs. Federal Members Stephen Jones and Alison Byrnes echoed the commitment to support Illawarra's community while pushing for a more sustainable energy future.
