Solar Push in Exmouth
The Western Australia coastal town of Exmouth is moving towards 80% renewable power, with 16,700 solar panels planned. Pacific Energy has already begun installing the first panels for the 9.6 MW solar farm.

Long-Term Energy Deal
This project is part of a 20-year power purchase agreement between Pacific Energy and Horizon Power. It combines solar, a 49.6 MWh battery storage system, and a 7 MW gas station to keep the town running.
Designed for Tough Conditions
Exmouth sits in a cyclone-prone region, making wind power unsuitable. The solar and battery system is being built with extra strength to withstand harsh weather and supply reliable clean energy.
Big Carbon Savings
Once completed, the system is expected to cut nearly 14,000 tonnes of carbon emissions every year, protecting the nearby UNESCO-listed Ningaloo Marine Park.
