Home Battery Heroes: Tiny Titans Power Up the Grid

Imagine your home battery, the one that keeps your lights on during a power outage, is now a superhero fighting for a whole country's electricity grid!  This isn't a fantasy – Australian homes with battery backups are banding together to create a powerful force called a Virtual Power Plant (VPP).

French energy company Engie is leading the charge with a massive VPP in South Australia. But unlike traditional power plants, this one doesn't rely on giant industrial batteries.  Instead, it harnesses the power of 2,800 everyday home batteries!  This innovative approach is shaking things up in the energy market.
